Greenpeace’s vision is that the researching new solutions and alternate approaches will lead to a green and peaceful future. Specifically, they want to protect the oceans, ancient forests, get rid of fossil fuels and work towards complete reliance on natural resources and their protection.
As a user, when I clicked on GREENPEACE website, their online platform
gives me impression as environmental and fresh. They use green color as their
frame color which makes me feel clean and easy to read their content.
Regarding the content, I would like to know more about their
activates, through their content “what we do”, GREENPEACE brought out effective
campaign video to commemorate the two-year anniversary of their “Save the Arctic” campaign that targeted Shell’s drilling in the Arctic.
Otherwise, they did a very good job explaining how our
Internet usage consumes so much energy. Out computers and mobile devices is
only the tip of the iceberg. The real burden is in the massive data centers
around the world that form the “guts” of the Internet. For example, I always use Amazon shopping each week, and I don't know how much energy I waste. After I enter the Greenpeace and read their article, I know I need to protect our energy by step.
And then I read their update blog and feel everyone in their
group has optimism for the future of the environmental movement. I would like
to be a volunteer to join, because I feel crushed by the mass of society and to
feel powerless and impotent to make any sort of meaningful change.I learnt a lot about Greenpeace the organization. They were
political activists and largely connected with the new age movement. I greatly
agree with the ideas of being independent of government and company founding,
being a non-profit organization.
In conclusion, even though their website design was simple, but their content give me a good memory with user experience. Greenpeace give customer power would like join, has ability to change customer behavior and attract them do donate money to help our environment. For me, after to be a user, I would like to be a volunteer with their group to protect our environment.
